Located in Bussum, Amsterdam, this casual home design may look like your average abode from the front, but let us assure you, it is anything but! The rear view holds something of a surprise – a delight for the outdoor enthusiast and architecture lover alike. Featuring floor-to-ceiling glass and a large terrace overlooking a secluded, leafy backyard with a pool, this unusual home brings you the best of both worlds – indoor and out. Netherlands architecture firm Group A created a wonderful contrast to the surrounding 19th century villas in this contemporary, slanted-roof, angled-wall home. The front and rear gardens are connected by an underpass sloping beneath the house, offering access to the basement and a sheltered carport. The interior design is very much about the outdoors. A minimalist, unassuming decor keeps the focus on the windows and the views beyond. Group A
