Prefab Country Homes – Cedar Home Design in Norfolk, UK
Article or RSS item submitted by Ty Wenzel • Sep 29th, 2009 • Category: Architecture, Featured |Fusing nature’s simplest pleasures with modern technology, the prefab Cedar House by Hudson Architects was designed to blend with its Norfolk, UK surroundings, while at the same time standing out for its innovative design. From the inside out, this fabulous country home screams “nature!” through and through. This modern prefab design is clad in 15,000 natural cedar shingles (roof and all!) and wrapped in wide windows that welcome the view. Outside the four-by-two-meter windows and expansive glazed doors that open onto a deck, the Wensum River flows through the North Elmham countryside. The sliding doors lead into the living room and a large, bright kitchen. Two bedrooms and a guest room round out the sleeping quarters, while a dark room and studio accommodate the homeowner’s labor of love – photography. Hudson Architects
