July 4th – Country Club Style

Visit Notting Hill!Living in the DC area I probably shouldn't admit that I've never been to the Mall to watch the fireworks. Instead we choose convenience, thanks to the graciousness of the Washington Golf and Country Club membership who open their grounds every year to non-members for a wonderful fireworks show.

Blanket in hand we walk over to the club, past wonderful homes built in the 1920's-1940's. I've always loved this house and it looks particularly special with this vintage blue convertible car parked out front. I'm often photographing homes when I'm on travel but this is a good reminder to head out into my own neighborhood soon to take some photos.

Check out the little flags at the front of the car.
