Today, we explore New Design, an expressionist form of art and architecture that requires a keen sense of creativity and a multi-faceted imagination.
Philippe Starck, a brilliant modern designer from France launched his career by mixing unusual yet practical materials together which ultimately produced some of the most ingenious works of architecture that the modern world has ever seen. Starck’s monumental work can be seen in some of the most prestigious structures throughout the world while others can be found in your everyday kitchen pantry. In each design, essential elements such as color, movement, shape, size, material, and purpose are all brought into one original design. As quirky as some household designs may be, each item is practical, user-friendly, and unique. Starck’s designs are carried by some of the best, world-reknowned brands such as Kartell, Emeco, Alessi, Maclaren, and Hansgrohe.
