…but I’m not sure you want to, given the fact that most YouTube videos are barely watchable even on a 17” LCD screen. However, you have to start somewhere, and Sony decided it’s time to add YouTube support to their Internet Video Link service.
The Link is a $300 module that can be plugged into certain recent Sony LCD models, enabling you to stream videos from Yahoo, AOL, Sports Illustrated, blip.tv, Style.com, Men.Style.com, Epicurious, Concierge.com, Crackle, and now - YouTube.
Here’s the news in marketingese, courtesy of YouTube’s partner development director Chris Maxcy: “The partnership with Sony helps us achieve our goal of making YouTube accessible on any screen. The integration of YouTube into the television enhances the living room entertainment experience by offering a large number of channels for people to select from, enabling them to watch what they want, when they want it.” Or you can just bring a computer into your living room, it works, too.
