“Behind Bars,” My memoir in Japanese

"Behind Bars" in Japanese , originally uploaded by designshrine .

This was my favorite cover of all of the versions for my book, Behind Bars: The Straight-Up Tales of a Big-City Bartender . It really captured my experience as a bartender on the Bowery before the rich folks took over. They captured my old look, the bar itself, the drag queens, regulars and even the smoking that was still allowed back when. And it's so fun to see what you've written in such an exotic language. I think the graphics are great on this because it looks so alive and fresh.
