Full of Grace - Modern Furniture by Robert Austin Gonzalez

Brooklyn-based interior designer Robert Austin Gonzalez is the mastermind behind these modern coffee tables and shelves. With sculptural oversized high gloss lacquer legs and a sleek glass top, the limited edition and by commission coffee tables pictured below are part of Gonzalez’s Grace collection. The wood he uses to create his unique coffee tables and shelves are made from fallen trees that are sent straight to lathe for carving. Each piece of wood that he uses to make the legs has a character of its own, since Gonzalez lets the grains split to reveal worm holes and color distinctions. The furniture’s elegance and timeless nature are classic traits visible in much of Gonzalez’s work, as he is known for bridging styles and combining a diverse mix of cultures, generations and materials in his designs.
