The Original: The Eames Storage Unit

The Eames Storage Units are true to the inventive originals introduced in 1950. Designed as both storage place and display cabinet, they are a striking example of how Charles and Ray Eames extended the boundaries of design to create a new modern aesthetic for the office and home.
Eames Storage Units are emblematic of the grace and whimsy Charles and Ray Eames used in designing home furnishing solutions. Incredibly functional, with five configurations to choose from, the Eames Storage Unit is both a useful piece of furniture and an historic example of modern design.
The Knock-Off: Walmart's Stockholm Cabinet
Though it is not a direct copy, it is clearly "inspired" by the color-blocked office cabinets that is the Eames' original. Steal legs, color-blocked panels, wood top, etc. It is SO Eames. They even have the matching bookcase and desk!

Inspired by Swedish design, the Adesso Stockholm storage cabinet is minimal yet stylish with a lower storage compartment hidden by orange and white doors. The top can be used to hold your printer. As a TV cabinet, use the top portion for your television and the middle shelf for your DVD player.
