Danish Modern Teak Entry Chest Table Nightstand Eames
1960s Vintage - Free Float Wall Mount Design MANY USES!

Petite thin-edge teakwood wall mount chest, Denmark, c. 1960s Technically this was designed as a bedside table, but it would be just as suitable for any room in your home (would be great in an entry, or hall etc).

Teakwood and Teakwood veneer over solid real wood, the piece features a tabletop surface with a slide out drawer below. This is well made with attention to detail (note the fine joined corner edges) and the thin-edge design allows for a full height drawer using every inch of available interior space for storage. This free floats on your wall making for a very clean and dramatic appearance. It can also be used on a table top and must have been at some point as there are little green felt pads on the underside.

Mounting to your wall is very simple as the piece has two mounting holes on the rear designed for this exact purpose. Each hole has an imbedded solid metal reinforcement plate so you have no fear of any slippage etc. You can use wall anchors/ bolts, or screws if going direct into your wall studs or other solid substrate (not included). The box body of the chest is completely enclosed and finished with teak on all sides except the rear. Because of the this edge design there is a little circular hole on each side of the chest as well as two on the underside. These are original and we believe intended by the manufacturer to allow air to escape when closing the drawer.

Measures 14.75” by 10.25” by 5” high. Drawer has a useable interior space of 13.5” by 9” by 4”.

Sculptural Wood Design by CEES BRAAKMAN for Pastoe 1960

Cool and functional folding magazine rack / stand, designed by Dutch designer Cees Braakman for Pastoe, c. 1960s. Elegant design all hardwood construction with one side being doweled and the other slotted. Folds up into a very slender size.

Measures 21.5”h by 16”w by 10.5”d and is in very good condition with some light surface age and one little split in the wood that is completely covered when in use.
