It’s back…All things sailor! The nautical trend keeps on giving year after year and has become a trend that never completely goes out of style. With its crisp, clean lines and preppy style the navy and white become’s hot once again for spring. One thing to remember when creating this look is to keep it simple. Incorporate a piece or two into your overall look and you will find yourself sailing with the trend! Based around an all-American color palette of smart navy, crisp white and cherry red the Nautical theme really calls to the cheeky accessories to make this trend complete. Stripes, rope detailing, anchor prints, bows, gold buckles and brassy buttons pull the look together. Try adding a feminine touch by adding details and finishing’s that emphasizes the chic sophistication of a trend that owes inspiration to the 1950’s and 1960’s. The Nautical trend can be found almost anywhere from tops, shirts, cotton dresses, bags and accessories….to…Loose linen, denim, wide-legs, cropped and full skirts for the bottom. If the sailor style isn’t your thing…Try focusing on one sharp core color scheme for a look that is plain sailing. Incorporate small touches such as a red handbag to a plain white t-shirt and jeans, or hint at the trend with key accessories, such as big bangles in bold red and navy or an anchor pendant. Fabulous!!
