Gift cards are great - they are pratical and perfect for picky giftees and devout shoppers. Chic stores, spas or even restaurants offer them in beautiful packaging most of the time but, when you’re planning an event and you want to give away gift cards as favors, you’re most likely not giving away gift cards of that caliber.
Most hostesses would cringe at the thought of plopping down a starbucks or Jamba Juice gift card on a place setting. Check out Abcande’s Etsy boutique for creative gift card holders. Designed so the top portion pops off like the top of a gift box would (there’s even a ribbon on top!), these holders are well, flat, or rather, 2D gift boxes. The gift card -sleeve (bottom half) is attached to the top with sweet brads and the whole thing is topped off with a mini tag. Now there’s a practical solution for a, you guessed it, practical gift!
