Best of October
Article or RSS item submitted by Ty Wenzel • Oct 17th, 2007 • Category: General, Web DesignI’m always thinking about our DSG readers… and October has me finding wonderful jewels to share with you. Here are our favorite tools for webmasters and Internet enthusiasts for this month:
1. Ponyfish

Ponyfish is a FREE web-based tool that allows you to create your own RSS feeds from almost any web page.
All you have to do is simply point Ponyfish to the web page you want to create a feed from, then follow a few steps to setup which types of links you want to include in the feed.

The Typetester is an online application for comparison of the fonts for the screen. Its’ primary role is to make web designer’s life easier. As the new fonts are bundled into operating systems, the list of the common fonts will be updated.
3. famfamfam

Simply the BEST free icons ever. famfamfam.com is the website of Mark James, a part-time web developer, part-time student currently living in Birmingham, UK.
4. BGMAKER
Your boring white background website need a makeover? Need to make a background fast? Want it user-friendly? I use this free service ALL the time. With a few clicks and a color scheme, I have a background made to use in any website I want! CLICK HERE
5. LIPSUM

Your template is finished, now you have fill it up with nonsense text, like…Lorem Ipsum text. This website will generate as much or as little lorem ipsum text as you need. Need a lorem ipsum list? It does that too - all free of charge.
I’ll be heading over to the Hampton’s Film Festival this week so not a lot to come except fashion do’s and don’ts. As I will be beginning to film this month, I am looking for ideas and contacts so long as I live in the Hamptons. Turns out an old friend is the director and another old friend is going, so why not? Will post pics when I have them. Ta!
